ingredients:
4 oz. egg noodles, cooked according to pkg directions
1 10oz can diced tomatoes with green chilies
1 small head of cabbage, chopped
1 C. shredded cheddar cheese
1 8oz can tomato sauce
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. chili powder
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. salt
1 T. butter
Directions:
Brown ground beef in a large skillet, drain the grease and add in the butter, cabbage, onion and garlic. Cook until cabbage becomes tender about 5-7 minutes. Add in the chopped tomatoes and tomato sauce along with the seasonings. Cook an additional 10 minutes over med. heat. Drain the pasta and add to the skillet, stir to combine well. Pour into a 10x13 casserole dish and top with the cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
