INGREDIENTS:
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
¾ c. oleo
½ c. evaporated milk
1 – 11oz. pkg. caramels
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 c. chocolate chips, frozen
INSTRUCTIONS:
Unwrap caramels and get ready to melt. Mix cake according to directions on the box. Pout ½ cake mixture into a greased and floured 9×13 in. pan and bake at 350 for 15 minutes. While cake is baking, melt oleo, caramels and milk in a medium size saucepan on the stove at medium heat stirring constantly. Remove cake from oven. Pour caramel mixture over cake, sprinkle ¾ cup nuts over this; sprinkle chocolate chips. Pour remaining cake batter over this and sprinkle with remaining nuts. Bake a additional 20 – 25 minutes.
